Astăzi avem speranță.
Scris de mătușa lui Sebi, Maria Bangs
Today there is hope.
Where only pain and agony once lived and consumed, we have cracks of hope that peek through as rays of light. In a small room, where centuries of strife divided, a child lay as a bridge of peace. He was a bridge between cultures, moving with ease from Romanian to American, living in both cultures simultaneously and effortlessly.
In a room where we are divided, Christian and Orthodox, there is a peace child. Our Sebi.
To bring hope. To do what could not be done. A bridge. To come together under one roof, with an ancient ritual as our guide, Sebi was the bridge.
A child’s death, an unimaginable loss, a pain do deep it has left a chasm in our hearts. But in his death, we can find hope. Where there was once only division, we can find peace. Where there was once only petty ego, we can find forgiveness. A child has brought peace.
A child has done in death what no person could do in life. In a room, American and Romanian, Protestant and Orthodox, centuries of division, our Sebi brought peace. And with peace, we can find hope.
